We love seeing the wonder and amazement in people when they experience our AR (Augmented Reality) Technology. Now we want to share the fun with you. We need your help to get the our first batch of MagicTats out in time for the holidays. With Kickstarter "Commission" you can even be part of the creative process and bring your own designs to life. This is MagicTats!
What Are MagicTats?
MagicTats are temporary tattoos that come alive with our AR (Augmented Reality) App. You apply them with warm water. Then open the MagicTats App and point your device's camera at a MagicTat - the app will recognize the image and make... Magic!
The MagicTats App will be available for Free on iOS and Android app stores (Release Date: 12/20/17). It uses industry leading Computer Vision (CV) software to identify any MagicTat - even at odd angles. The app relies on your device's camera and can turn on your camera flash so it works in the dark as well. The app is already fully functional. As the Kickstarter campaign rolls along we'll add our new designs and may make some final decisions about how MagicTats interact with each other. We'll be asking our backers to weigh in on some of these decisions with us.
The MagicTats App will be Published Publicly as a Free App on iOS and Android on December 20th 2017!
A private beta will be available starting on December 15th 2017 Any backers who designed a Commission will be given access so they can begin trying it out. MagicTats App is made with Unity®
The MagicTats App uses computer vision to "see" the unique pattern of a MagicTat. Our original graphics are beautifully designed by legendary artists - they mimic real tattoos and look awesome on your skin. They're all made in the USA and wash off in a few days (or instantly with rubbing alcohol or mineral oil). We already have our first design produced at mass scale - "The Mighty Dollar" - in honor of the Kickstarter community that has funded so much art.

Make Your Own MagicTat as a Commission Design Backer
We can turn almost any design into a MagicTat. As a "Commission Design" backer, we'll take your design and add it to the patterns that the MagicTats App recognizes. We'll ship you a bunch of your custom MagicTats If your design matches a permanent tattoo exactly, it will work with the MagicTats App as well. Point your device camera at your design and enjoy the Magic.
Once the MagicTats App recognizes a MagicTat - it will create magical effects or creatures right on your MagicTat.
The Might Dollar: Make it Rain
Point the MagicTats App at a "The Mighty Dollar" MagicTat and watch as unlimited hundred dollar bills come flying out.

Our upcoming original and "Commission Design" MagicTats will summon these cute baby dragons to appear. They come in all different shapes and sizes. With the MagicTats App you'll be able to collect, raise and play with them.

Risks and challenges
I've made dozens of AR Apps just like MagicTats so publishing the app is not a concern. We already have an app prototype and our first MagicTats design printed and delivered in mass quantities. This my first Kickstarter and since we'll be doing fulfillment ourselves - depending on the amount of backers - there is always a chance of a small delay packaging and getting the actual MagicTats to you.
The commission artwork will be be collected via Kickstarter surveys and we'll keep track of responses through the Backer Report. We'll optimize the designs, print and combine them with the magic of AR. We're expecting to ship Commission rewards in Q1 2018.
